Zone Positioning: The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 (2.4GHz Wi-Fi REQUIRED) offers a significant advantage over traditional PIR infrared motion sensors. By utilizing a single radar sensor, it can monitor rooms of up to 40 m² (430 sq ft) and divide them into up to 30 distinct zones, such as sofa, bed, or desktop areas. Multi-Person & Fall Detection: The FP2 can simultaneously detect up to 5 people, enabling diverse scenarios and automations based on occupancy. Furthermore, by mounting the FP2 on the ceiling and activating the Falling Detection mode, it can alert you through the app if someone falls, helping to minimize the risk of injury. However, it's important to note that the FP2 is not a medical device and can only be used for notification purposes.

Multi-Ecosystem Support: The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 is compatible with multiple smart home platforms, including HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant. This makes it a great solution for smart home enthusiasts, as it can be integrated directly without requiring an Aqara hub. (Note: The device can be added to Home Assistant using the HomeKit Controller integration, and skills for Google Home and Alexa should be enabled after connecting the FP2 to the Aqara app.)

Ultra-High Precision with More Privacy: Utilizing millimeter-wave radar technology, the FP2 provides precise detection of even the slightest movements, without producing false negatives. Importantly, this detection method does not require a camera monitoring system, ensuring maximum privacy for users. Additionally, the FP2's IPX5 rating allows for installation in wet environments, such as bathrooms.

Built-In Light Sensor & Local Automations: The FP2 features a built-in light sensor, providing greater flexibility and enjoyment when creating lighting automations (available in Aqara Home, HomeKit, and IFTTT). Furthermore, the automations are executed locally, without the need to send data to the cloud, ensuring uninterrupted operation even in the absence of an internet connection. (Note: The FP2 is not a Zigbee device, and the recommended distance between the router and the FP2 is no more than 393 inches, without any obstacles.)
