You have multiple options for receiving notifications of device activity. Receive a text, an email, a phone push notification (including Apple phone "Critical Alert" severe weather/Amber alert type notifications that will activate your phone even in silent mode. Android phones offer similar functionality, depending on the manufacturer). SMS messages are limited to a total of 5 times each device plus 5. A hub and two temperature/humidity sensors provide you with 20 free SMS per month.
